About Mike Brooks

Mike Brooks has a rich background in customer service, having served in the US Army at all maintenance levels. As a Senior NCO, Mike directed multifaceted logistic activities. He excelled in many capacities, including Paratrooper and First Sergeant. Mike cultivated his interest in woodworking in the Army's woodworking shops during his off-duty time for over twenty years. After his Army career, he worked for Honeywell, Inc., as a Production Supervisor and a Training Developer . He is a graduate from the University of Maryland with a BS in Business and Management and has completed course work towards his MBA. As a member of the Weathersby Guild, Mike was awarded the designation of "Master Craftsman" on April 22, 2006, for his excellence in the art of furniture restoration, coupled with his expert knowlege of finishes and period-appropriate repair techniques when restoring antiques. Mike and his wife Chris have a daughter and two boys. The boys are very active in sports including lacrosse, basketball, and soccer.
